Lib Dems ready for the General Election on June 8th 2017!

Snap Election? We're ready!

A message from the South Cambs Liberal Democrat PPC, Susan van de Ven

Whilst Theresa May's announcement was unexpected, it has not caught us unprepared. Last year we made an emergency selection against the eventuality of an early election - which means we are ready to take the fight to this Conservative Brexit government.

I am very proud to say that I am the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the 8th June General Election and I look forward to working with all our enthusiastic supporters and activists over the coming weeks.

Like our 100,000 members across the UK, I’ve signed up to the Liberal Democrats as a vehicle for achieving the kind of society we believe in – open, united, and tolerant.

This means retaining a strong relationship with the European Union and everything it stands for. Our local party has been working extremely hard all year to get our message out in South Cambridgeshire.

Our immediate priority is to raise sufficient funds to fight a strong campaign.

Just £50 would be enough to print a leaflet to cover a typical South Cambs village. If you can manage to make a donation, please click here: Donate

While we are currently firming up our local and national plans for the General Election, don't forget that there are the County and Mayoral Elections on 4 May. We continue our bold and ambitious plan to win these elections.

Winning in May will send the strongest message we can that the #LibDemFightback is well and truly underway.

If you have not already signed up to help us with this then please do consider doing so. We rely entirely on dozens of volunteers to do the many jobs that are part of a campaign: delivering, being out on the doorsteps, doing admin and a any number of behind the scenes tasks.
