Is Brexit Unravelling? A Discussion with Professor Chris Grey

Recent news reveals the gaping holes in the Brexit agreement that were predicted way back in 2016. How did we get to this place? And where do we go from here?

If you want answers to these or many other questions, come along to a talk by the author of “Brexit Unfolded: How No-one Got What They Wanted (And Why They Were Never Going To)” - Chris Grey.

Chris is also the author of a weekly blog “Brexit and Beyond” which comments on the developments in the Brexit process and interprets them. He is a recognised authority on the subject and is followed by many political commentators. He will speak on the themes of his latest book, named above, and on the recent Brexit news, and offer his thoughts about where we go next.

The event will also include a short presentation by Lucy Nethsingha, currently leader of Cambridgeshire County Council and previously a Liberal Democrat MEP, about her time as an MEP and Liberal Democrat policy on the EU.

It will be hosted by Bridget Smith, the leader of South Cambridgeshire District Council.

This event is free to members and supporters of the Liberal Democrat parties of South Cambridgeshire, Cambridge City, East Cambridgeshire, Fenland and Huntingdon and to members of Cambridge for Europe. Please ensure your zoom login name is the same as the name you RSVP with to ensure admittance. After RSVPing you will be sent a link via email in advance of the meeting. Contact Yan if you have any queries about the event.
