The number of council houses being built by South Cambs District Council is to double, thanks to the Lib Dems.
On average, 70 new council homes a year will be built in the coming years, following the Lib Dems’ decision to prioritise providing affordable homes.
The Lib Dems will also insist that, from 2020, new homes are built to higher environmental standards, meaning reduced carbon emissions and lower energy bills for householders.
The Lib Dem Council is also increasing the number of homes available to house people at real risk of homelessness.
