Fairer Funding for Cambridgeshire GPs

With over 60% of people who responded to Pippa’s health survey saying they found it ‘difficult’ or ‘very difficult’ to get a GP appointment, Pippa is launching a campaign to demand action from the Conservative government.

GP levels have fallen to record lows in recent years, and the Liberal Democrats believe that the backlog in the NHS is only fueling more and more health issues.

We believe everyone should be able to get a doctor’s appointment when they need one.

Pippa has been meeting with health leaders, doctors, nurses and patients across South Cambridgeshire in the last few months to get an idea of the scope of the problem. While this can be a complex issue, all are in agreement that staffing in the NHS is a huge problem.

Government could, right now, draw up plans to get on top of this scandal. Instead they claim to be investing in training which will take years to see through to fruition.

People need to be able to see their doctors now.
